The award is the result of a survey
run by the research bureau ICMA, assigned
by Randstad. During the survey 6.000
respondents from all over Belgium
received a list with the names of
107 companies and were asked whether
they knew the companies, if they would
like to be employed by them and why?

Janssen Pharmaceutica came out top
of the list in five out of the eight
investigated features. Because of
its high score on financial health,
long term security and good perspectives,
Janssen Pharmaceutica stood above
companies like Pharmacia & Upjohn,
IBM, Coco Cola, General Electric,
Siemens, Monsanto and many others
in the survey.
During a short ceremony in Brussels
on March 4, 2002, Stef Witteveen,
CEO of Randstad handed the award to
Janssen Pharmaceutica CEO, Ajit Shetty
in attendance of the press. In his
acceptance speech Ajit Shetty stressed
the important role of the 4000 Janssen
employees in Belgium in earning this
award.
