Winning the annual Randstad Award for the Most Attractive Employer means that Janssen Pharmaceutica has again made the Top 3, and this for the fifth time in a row.
The prize is awarded on the basis of a very wide-ranging survey of 8000 Belgians aged 18 to 65 years. | |
They were asked what they thought the most attractive company was in terms of actually working there. The companies from which they chose were selected beforehand on the basis of the size of their workforce (at least 1000 employees) and the extent to which they are known.
Bayer was the most attractive employer in Belgium in 2005, followed by GlaxoSmithKline (the best employer in 2004) and Janssen Pharmaceutica (no. 1 in 2002).
Janssen Pharmaceutica is the only company so far that has been ranked among the Top 3 each year. According to Janssen, this evaluation in 2005 is primarily attributable to the high score it received for compensation, its financial soundness and long-term job security.
The pharmaceutical sector has made a particularly strong showing for years now. This year is no exception, with the companies in this sector receiving the highest attractiveness ratings.
Here are the Top 5 of the Randstad Award for 2005: 1. Bayer
2. GlaxoSmithKline
